TOP TEN SADDEST MOVIES.
Those who know me will understand that i am a very happy and emotional person (PISCES), so i try not to watch movies that would make me cry but once in a while we need to let few or more tears out. So here is a list i compiled of sad movies to watch; (Feel free to drop your comment below)
1. The Green Mile – (Starring Tom Hanks, Michael Clark Duncan)
This
is a 1999 American fantasy crime drama film. It is the story of how a huge
black man was accused of killing two young girls and the judgement
he had to face for it. But there was something unique about this man, go check
out the movie. It is guaranteed to trigger your emotions.
2. Hachi: A Dog’s Tale – (Starring Richard Gere, Joan Allen,
Jason Alexander)
This 2009 drama is a story of a college professor’s bond
with an abandoned dog he found on a train platform. They were so attached to each other to the extent that the dog follows his master to the train station every morning and goes back there to await his arrival in the evening. But something sad happens.... Go check out the movie. #sad#.
3. Titanic - (Starring Kate Winslet, Leonardo Decaprio, Kathy Bates)
Need i say anything at all, i am sure most of us have seen this movie or heard about it. This 1997 James Cameron directed classic, is the story of how a 17 years old 'Lady' falls in love with a very kind but poor artist aboard the luxurious ill-fated ship (R.M.S Titanic) and the forces they had to overcome in other to be together and how their romantic fate ended.
4. Mother India - (Starring Nargis, Sunil Dutt, Rajendra Kumar)
This 1957 melodrama is the story of how a poverty-stricken woman was left to fend for herself and her sons through many terrible situations like flood, losing one her sons, her husband and many more but despite these obstacles she stuck to her moral code. Kudos to Bollywood for this amazing movie #melikey#.
5. Hotel Rwanda - (Starring Don Cheadle, Sophie Okonedo, Joaquin Phoenix)
This movie is a 2004 historical drama based on the Rwandan Genocide that occurred in 1994 and how hotel manager Rusesabagina saved the lives of his family and thousands of other people by housing them in the hotel. I saw this movie when i was younger but i still reminisce the scenes #warisawful#.
6. Ghost - (Starring Patrick Swayze, Demi Moore, Whoopi Goldberg)
It is a 1990 romantic fantasy thriller, that centers around a banker and his artist lover. The duo were madly in love until one tragic day he was shot and killed by his friend and corrupt business partner over a shady deal *cries*. But something unusual happens #go see the movie# P.S the pottery scene is one of my favorite scenes everrr. *wink wink*
7. Marley and Me - (Starring Jenifer Aniston, Owen Wilson, Kathleen Turner)
This is a 2004 American comedy drama, based on how a newly wed couple move from one city to another where they buy their first home, get better job opportunity, adopt a dog (Marley) and start a family. It centers around their adorably cute but naughty dog and the experiences they had with it. The sad part is .......
8. The Stoning of Soraya M. - (Starring Shohreh Aghdashloo, James Caviezel, Mozhan Marno)
This is a 2008 American Persian language drama, it is based on a true story and it centers around how an Iranian woman asked to see a journalist to narrate the inhuman, brutal, unjust execution of her niece. Viewer's discretion alert!!! when watching. P.S i have never cried so much in my life.
9. Miss You Already - (Starring Drew Barrymore, Toni Collette, Dominic Cooper)
This movie is a 2015 British romantic-comedy drama, it centers around two girls that met in school and became really close, you know, more like sisters. One tries to get pregnant while the other tries to treat breast cancer and along the line their friendship gets tested but will they survive the storm???.
10. Slumdog Millionaire - (Starring Dev Patel, Freida Pinto, Irrfan Khan)
