TOP 10 CONS OF BEING THE YOUNGEST CHILD

As the last child in my family, i can tell you for sure that there are lots of disadvantages that come with it. I know most of you first and middle children will be like "what does a last born have to complain about". Well i kid you not, there's a lot and today i think i speak for every last child when i compiled this eye-opening list Enjoy;

1. NOTHING IS SPECIAL
Right from the birthing process, we all know that the last child is the easiest one to birth because the mother has gone through such process before. Even the christening of the last child has less people in attendance than the first child, the presents are also less. Taking the first steps is not special, going to school is also not special. Except we started talking at 6 months maybe it will be special then hmm.

2. ERRAND GIRL/BOY
Like do i even have to explain lol. It has been written in the destiny of every last child that for a long period of time till they leave the house of course, it is their duties and responsiblities to run errands and this has been passed on from generation to generation.

3. COMPARISONS ARE BEING MADE
The youngest child always gets compared to the older siblings, even when un-necessary. "You know, you're so like your brother or sister" or "your brother or sister does it better than you". Can just be me for a second please.

4. YOU GET PICKED ON BY YOUR SIBLINGS
This happens especially when your parents are not home, you know they wont be there to shield you and that gives room for all kinds of bullying. When things go wrong in the house or when you are behaving like every other child (you know by being troublesome)

5. YOU HARDLY GET NEW STUFFS
Why would you need new stuffs when your older siblings have some used but intact ones. From clothes to shoes to toys to hair accesories, all you get are pass downs.

6. YOU HAVE TO COVER-UP FOR .....
Yeah when your siblings sneak out of the house or do things they were banned from doing, it is every last child's duty to conceal the tracks usually in form of a lie, and once you could pull that off, it felt like the coolest thing ever. (Maybe that's why i am so good at ... nevermind)

7. YOU ARE CALLED "LITTLE" ALMOST FOREVER
Ow that "little" title huh, i still get it even now that i am in my early 20s. You also get called "little", when your siblings friends forget your name (which happens a lot). I guess that stays forever.

8. BEING CALLED INNOCENT
Remember as a child when your older siblings took the heat for every wrong-doings in the house and they get mad or jealous at you for it. Good times huh.

9. YOU HARDLY HAVE A SAY
True to this, everyone feels you are too young to propose any reasonable idea so they do not let you have a say or when it comes to handling the remote control, you are usually not allowed to pick a channel of your choice because no one wants to watch cartoons.

10. VICTIM OF PRANKS/BAIT
I fell into this category so many times. If your older siblings were to carry out any pranks, you would always be the scapegoat. From movie re-makes to dares or sometimes experiments.
