TOP FOOTBALL CLUBS OF ALL TIME

I believe that there are two things that unite the world, they are FOOTBALL and MUSIC. Today i compiled a list of what i assume are the best football clubs in the world. Enjoy

1. BARCELONA FC
On 29 November 1899, Joan Gamper founded FC Barcelona, along with eleven other enthusiasts of 'foot-ball', a game that was still largely unknown in the country at the time. Barça has become, for millions of people all around the world, a symbol of their identity, and not just in a sporting sense, but also in terms of society, politics and culture.

The current Real Madrid squad is once again defining an era in the sport, having won three European Cups. In 2014 they clinched La Décima, which they then followed up with the Club World Cup. Zidane's first two seasons at the helm were historic achievements, winning La Undécima and La Duodécima. What's more, 2017 was a record-breaking year, marking the first time ever they clinched five titles in a calendar year: the European Cup, Club World Cup, LaLiga and the Spanish and European Super Cups.

Manchester United Football Club was founded back in 1878 under the name Newton Heath LYR F.C. In 1902, the club's name was changed to Manchester United and the rest is history. No team has more English league titles than United, who surpassed Liverpool after securing their 19th last season. But titles cannot be won without great players, and United have had their fair share of talented footballers.

Arsenal, in full Arsenal Football Club, alias the Gunners, English professional football (soccer) team based in London. Arsenal is one of the most successful squads in English football history, having played in the country’s top division (Football League First Division to 1992, Premier League thereafter) each season since 1919. In the process it has captured 13 league titles.

Chelsea FC was founded in 1905 by Henry Augustus Mears. Home games are played at Stamford Bridge stadium, the original site Mears chose for the club. The team had mixed fortunes over the years, not winning a major trophy until the 1950s and moving up and down between divisions several times.

The history of Manchester City Football Club goes far back, all the way back to 1880 in fact. Gorton, Manchester is the home of the club, founded at St. Mark’s by Reverend Connell and William Beastow. Members of the St. Mark’s Church founded a football club that was commonly known as Manchester City. Two church wardens looked to curb the local violence and the church cricket club was what was first started. The first recorded match as a football team was in November of 1880, which they lost 2-1. They were then known as St. Mark’s. In 1894, they then turned to Manchester City Football Club under leadership of Joshua Parlby.

Liverpool FC, in full Liverpool Football Club, English professional football (soccer) club based in Liverpool. It is the most successful English team in European football tournament history, having won five European Cup/Champions League trophies. The club has also won the English top-division league title 18 times.

Even for a club based in the "Cradle of Football", Everton's history is startling. In their 138 years of existence, they have spent only four years outside the top flight of English football. During this time, they have won nine League titles, five FA Cups and the 1985 Cup Winners' Cup. Since 1892, the club has been playing its home games at Goodison Park, the first major football stadium in England.

During their colorful lifespan, Tottenham Hotspur were mostly known as cup specialists. They made history by becoming the first British team to win a European trophy, as well as winning the first UEFA cup ever organized. Overall, their trophy room contains eight FA Cups, four League Cups, one Cup Winners' Cup and two UEFA Cups. In addition to their long tradition of cup success, the "Spurs" can also boast with two League titles in 1951 and 1961.
If we're talking about historical relevance, there are not many clubs in the world that can compete with Aston Villa. In addition to being one of the oldest football clubs in Britain, Villa are the originators of the Football League – the top flight in the country until the Premier League was formed in 1992. In its early history, Villa was one of the most consistent sides in English football, winning several First Division, FA Cup and League Cup titles. They are also one of only five English clubs to have won the European Cup/Champions League title.

Paris Saint-Germain was born on 12 August 1970 and the fusion of Paris FC – created a year earlier to fill the void of having no top-flight club in the capital – and Stade Sangermanois, founded in 1904 in Saint-Germain-en-Laye, the birth town of Louis XIV.
