She was an Indian actress and a film producer, a beneficiary of three Filmfare Awards South and two Filmfare Awards, she is ranked among the highest paid Indian actresses, one of the most popular and loved ones. In 2013 she was awarded the Padma Shri (The county's fourth highest civilian accolade for her contributions to the entertainment industry) by the Government of India. She died on 24th of February 2018 from Drowning.
